SPIRIT DOLL WORKSHOP
Sunday April 18th
2-5pm $65 (inc afternoon tea)

Dolls have been part of humankind since prehistoric days. They appear in all cultures across the world. In our own personal history they can evoke memories of childhood. In ancient history, dolls have been used as sacred items in religious ceremonies, made to represent the gods that people worshipped. In this workshop we will explore our relationship to dolls, ourselves and what is greater than ourselves.
Explore your creativity, imagination and decorative impulses to create a spirit doll. Spirit dolls can bring inspiration, celebration and mystery. In this workshop you will work with a small fabric doll, which you will paint and embellish using feathers, ribbons, sequins and beads in any way that the imagination permits. You will journey with your doll through choices of colour, texture, gesture and decoration giving it its own story, strength and purpose.
All materials supplied. Spaces are limited!
